Culture Trip’s Culture Makers is a panel series that features the people behind the culture. It explores travel as an influence and source of inspiration for creative communities, and looks to unpack its impact on wider culture.
Now, in partnership with the British Fashion Council for London Fashion Week AW20, we’ll look to the impact of travel on the fashion industry, and seek to draw the parallels between both which co-exist within our global culture.
Be it fashion trends or destinations, collectively we have always sought out newness – often, without intent, at the hands of local culture. But times and attitudes are shifting towards more sustainable and thoughtful ways of living. In this discussion, we look to the past and think about the future of fashion and travel, and their responsibilities to navigate the social and cultural impact of the local.
